BIOGRAPHY OF SAMWHITE IGWE EARLY LIFE AND CAREER!

Igwe Samuel Chindo (born 09 September 1993), professionally known as SamWHITE IGWE, is a Nigerian Afro-Pop singer, rapper, songwriter, entertainer, and environmentalist from Aleto Nchia Eleme in Rivers State, Nigeria.

Known for his energetic sound, emotional storytelling, and street-inspired musical influence, SamWHITE IGWE has steadily built a name for himself within the Niger Delta music scene and beyond through his unique blend of Afro-Pop and Hip-Hop music.

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

SamWHITE IGWE was born and raised in Aleto Nchia Eleme, Rivers State, located in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. He grew up in a family of four under the care of his late father, Chief/Mr. Felix Igwe Nnamu Oluji, and his mother, Mrs. Felicia Adanne Igwe, who worked as a trader in Eleme.

His passion for entertainment began at an early age. In 2008, he started his career in dance as a member of the Sons of David Dance Crew in Eleme, Rivers State. During his secondary school days at Ascension High School, Ogale Nchia Eleme, he discovered his interest in music while in SS2.

Between 2011 and 2014, SamWHITE IGWE further developed his musical talent under the guidance of renowned music producer Daddy P, whom he describes as his first producer and mentor.

Alongside his music career, he attended the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Port Harcourt Study Centre, where he actively participated in entertainment activities on campus. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Environmental Management and Toxicology.

MUSIC CAREER

SamWHITE IGWE officially launched his music career in 2015 with the release of his debut single titled “Love.” The song gained attention across Eleme and Port Harcourt, earning airplay on Rhythm FM Port Harcourt and helping him gain recognition in the local music scene.

His music is heavily influenced by real-life experiences, emotional expression, and the realities of everyday life. He describes himself as an entertainer whose sound is inspired by nature and human emotions.

In 2019, SamWHITE IGWE participated as a housemate in Face of Images Reality TV Show Season 3 held in Lagos, Nigeria. Following his appearance on the reality show, he expanded his entertainment vision by establishing his independent record label and entertainment platform known as White Empires Gang International (W.E.G).

PERSONAL LIFE

In February 2020, SamWHITE IGWE survived an armed robbery attack carried out by unknown gunmen, during which he sustained multiple gunshot injuries and lost personal belongings including money and mobile phones.

Later that same year, he was also involved in a car accident alongside his friend, Bobo Juice, along the East-West Expressway in Alesa Nchia Eleme, Rivers State. Although the accident caused injuries, no lives were lost.

SamWHITE IGWE was also among several entertainers and public figures who participated in the End SARS protest movement in October 2020 in Etown and Port Harcourt, alongside artists such as Hynex Obembie and Andriano’s Beatz.
